John Selwyn Shimron Jebakumar is a Senior Staff Engineer - Design & Methodology at Infineon, with over 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He has a multi-faceted experience encompassing digital design for FPGAs and ASICs, front-end modeling for standard cells, I/Os & memory IP, and methodology development for static and formal checking of digital designs. John is always on the lookout to pursue new avenues to further his education and knowledge. He is curious about creating multi-cultural connections and breaking geographic and cultural barriers. In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle over twisty roads, singing, cycling, hiking, or researching his next big adventure or project. Prior to his current position, John worked as a Siebel CRM Consultant and Technical Support for two multi-billion dollar corporations. He provided last-level Siebel CRM technical support, Siebel DB admin, consulting on bug fixes, enhancements, and planned rollouts, and performed unique tasks upon the request of the client. He acted as a team lead during a critical transition period in one project and helped in project transitions and knowledge transfers for new team members. John has also worked as a Design Engineer at Vinchip Systems and ARM. At Vinchip Systems, he worked on the initial design of a Bluetooth Low Energy based communication module for a health-care product and developed an independent single channel DMA controller for AMBA bus-based systems. At ARM, he was a designer of front-end Physical IP models for standard cells, I/Os, and Memory IP. John holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microelectronics Systems Design from the University of Southampton, a part-time Diploma in Software Engineering from NIIT University, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from St. Peter's Engineering College. His technical skills include AI and Frontend, and he has relevant experience of 11.45 years.
